CARE CONNECTION
The purpose of the St. Paul United Church of Christ Care Connection Is to reassure one another that SOMEONE CARES! That is important to know when things are not normal around the house. That is when Care Connection is there; helping and serving members in our congregation. Love, warmth, telephone calls, cards, meals, and more are part of being a volunteer in the St. Paul Care Connection. As life’s events occur, we have an opportunity to reach out to others who need our concern and services. We are grateful to all volunteers who give their time. This short-term ministry is very meaningful to those families whose lives the Care Connection touches. Please call the church office at (618)281-5102 if you know of members who have a special need, special care or concern. KINDERCOTTAGE COLLECTION
Each month on the first Sunday of the month, St. Paul UCC takes up a collection for Kindercottage. Items donated include non-perishable food items , baby formula and supplies, cleaning supplies and more. CHRISTMAS STAR TREE
Christmas is a time of joy and hope. And yet, we recognize that for many children, there will be few presents beneath the tree. Working with local charities, St. Paul UCC receives the names and Christmas wishes of children in need. Members and friends purchase gifts for the children. The gifts are delivered to the charities and given out to the families in time for Christmas. It is the generosity of the members of this church that provide many families in need a little more joy and hope at this time of year. SOUPER BOWL OF CARING
Each year, St. Paul UCC participates in raising money to fight hunger in our area. This special fundraiser is put on by our youth who take orders for Sub Sandwiches to be assembled and picked up on Super Bowl Sunday. In 2023, St. Paul sold 90 sandwiches on game day. |
