Come and join our youth group for a special Parents Night Out event, the Valentine’s Edition! It will be held at St Paul United Church of Christ on 127 St Paul St., Columbia, IL. You can reach us at 618-281-5102. Our Youth Group, students from 5th grade and up, is organizing a delightful evening filled with crafts, games, delicious food, storytelling, and a movie! We invite kids aged 3 to 4th grade to come and enjoy this exciting event. We also encourage you to make a free will donation for the Souper Bowl of Caring, a initiative aimed at fighting hunger.
Our Youth Group is participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring: Tackle Hunger Campaign. “Since 1990, over 170 million dollars has been donated to local food charities across fifty states with over 300,000 unique groups participating. You can support this effort by ordering sub sandwiches by Wednesday, February 5.The sub sandwiches will be ready for pickup on Sunday, February 9 in the Fellowship Hall from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Youth in the eighth-grade study and learn more about their faith, their church and themselves. Youth, parents, faith partners and the congregation covenant on a faith journey that engages thoughtful conversations at church and home. Weekly gatherings to explore topics range from scripture, history, and traditions like the Nicene Creed to big ideas like the priesthood of all believers, heresy and power. Field trips to mission partners and other communities of faith. Confirmation classes start in August and meet on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
